ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) — The University of Albany (UAlbany) School of Business will host its second Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Practice Forum on Friday. The forum will include a number of invited speakers, as well as collaborations with Harvard Business School Charles M. Williams School of Business Professor, ” Purpose + Profit: How Businesses Improve the World.
ESG analyzes how companies integrate environmental, social and governance issues into their business models to improve operational efficiency, reduce costs, increase competitiveness and generate higher revenues, returns and long-term profits. ESG also seeks to improve business sustainability by redefining what matters in decision-making around concepts such as transparency, legitimacy, resilience and materiality.
“We are now witnessing not only a desire for businesses to embrace sustainable models in a broader sense that goes beyond profit, but even the next generation of the workforce is starting to focus on these aspects before deciding where to work,” said UAlbany Business School. Diony Senator Ranjan
