In addition to her executive leadership at CAES, Erin Kocourek has recently completed flight training for a private pilot’s license. In her free time, she wanted to better understand the principles of aeronautical engineering, and getting a pilot’s license seemed like the perfect way to get a hands-on education.

Sitting in the cockpit, she continues to learn about the intricacies of aeronautical, electronics, communications, avionics and mechanical systems, and the complex interplay between them, necessary for safe flight.

In 2022, Kocourek’s business development team will focus on building bridges to incorporate advanced electronics in next-generation missile systems for maximum mission effectiveness. The team’s goal is to advance electronics and deliver flawless products on time to help keep warfighters safe.
