Displaced Ukrainians usually arrive in Zaporozhye after a challenging and dangerous flight to safety. Many stayed for long periods of time while waiting for permission to return home. “Zaporizhia said we couldn’t go because they feared for our lives,” one refugee told the Post. “But I’ll sign anything, I’ll give up any risk; just let me go back.”
