Russo-Ukrainian War Update – The Washington Post

A man opened fire at a recruitment office in Siberia on Monday – the latest sign of unrest after Russian President Vladimir Putin announced a military mobilization affecting as many as 300,000 reservists from across the country.

At least 100 people were arrested in Russia’s southwestern region of Dagestan on Sunday, as protesters gathered in the regional capital Makhachkala to denounce the war in Ukraine, according to rights group OVD-Info. In a speech on Sunday night, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky responded to the protests, urging Russians to “work hard to make sure that your children are not sent to die.”
