Prisco’s NFL Week 9 picks: Commanders stun Vikings; Saints upset Ravens; Bucs skid over Rams

I made it. I finally did it.

I had a great week.

That’s the only way you can describe a week where I won 7-0 with my best bet on the Pick Six podcast, beat the spread 8-7 with my expert pick, and went straight up 11-4.

that’s right. My best bet is undefeated, baby.

Other areas are not as good, but there is progress. 7-0 improves my best betting record of the year to 27-20, my ATS record is now 58-61-4 and my straight record is 68-54-1.

This time, there is no doom and gloom. Now comes the hard part: try to do it all over again.

I say it’s good for two weeks in a row. are you ready?

Featured Games | Houston Texans v Philadelphia Eagles

The Eagles are undefeated and are playing at a high level. The Texans’ game doesn’t come close to that. But it’s a short week to challenge the road team. The real challenge for the short week is to prepare the team for the Eagles’ offense. That’s the difference here. Jalen Hurts has been playing well.

Pick: Eagles 33, Texans 13

Sunday, 1 p.m. ET (Fox, FuboTV)

Featured Games | Atlanta Falcons v Los Angeles Chargers

The Chargers are about to say goodbye, and they need to keep their passing game going. Low pitching has yet to come. They will return to the Chargers in this one game. The Falcons have surprised everyone this season, leading the NFC South. They’re going to run it all day with the Chargers, but I think Justin Herbert finally made the passing game shine.

Pick: Charger 34, Falcon 26

Sunday, 1 p.m. ET (CBS, Paramount+)

Featured Games | Chicago Bears vs. Miami Dolphins

This is the Dolphins’ second straight road trip against the NFC North. They beat the Lions last week and threw it on the field. This won’t be as fast as the tracks, which will slow them down a bit. But I still think passing is too much for the Bears. Dolphins take it.

Pick: Dolphin 30, Bear 20

Sunday, 1 p.m. ET (Fox, FuboTV)

Featured Games | Cincinnati Bengals v Carolina Panthers

The Bengals looked terrible in their road loss to the Browns on Monday night. The offensive line was roughed up. The Panthers are playing back-to-back road games, and it won’t be easy. They played better with PJ Walker as the quarterback, and I think their defense, especially the forward defense, kept them in that position.

Pick: Bengals 26, Panthers 20

Sunday, 1 p.m. ET (Fox, FuboTV)

Featured Games | Detroit Lions vs. Green Bay Packers

The Packers actually showed some energy against the Bills last week, which is a good sign. The Lions’ defense could be the perfect complement to really get them going. Detroit can score offensively, so this could be a higher scoring game. Give me Aaron Rodgers to finally come up with some numbers and win it.

Pick: Packers 31, Lions 27

Sunday, 1 p.m. ET (CBS, Paramount+)

Featured Games | Jacksonville Jaguars v Las Vegas Raiders

The Raiders are on the road for their second straight game, and the Jaguars are back at home after a loss to the Broncos in London. The Raiders failed to score in the loss to the Saints, which is worrying. Trevor Lawrence is not playing well, which is a concern for Jacksonville. I think something has changed here. Jaguars won.

Pick: Jaguars 24, Raiders 20

Sunday, 1 p.m. ET (CBS, Paramount+)

Featured Games | New England Patriots v Indianapolis Colts

The Patriots impressed last week with a road win over the Jets, while the Colts lost to Washington in Sam Ellinger’s first start. The Colts’ offense hasn’t been great all year, no matter who plays quarterback. But they did show some signs of life last week. The Patriots’ offense isn’t much better, but I think their defense will win this game. very close.

Pick: Patriots 21, Colts 17

Buffalo Bills at New York Jets (-13)

Sunday, 1 p.m. ET (CBS, Paramount+)

Featured Games | New York Jets v Buffalo Bills

The Jets lost to the Patriots with a bad offense. Zach Wilson has to continue his game. The Bills can amass a ton of numbers on offense, and they’ll do that against the Jets’ defense. The Jets won’t be able to keep up. Buffalo moved on.

Pick: Bill 37, Jets 23

Sunday, 1 p.m. ET (Fox, FuboTV)

Featured Games | Washington Commander vs. Minnesota Vikings

This suddenly became an important match, as Commander had won three straight. The Vikings are on a five-game winning streak. Minnesota didn’t knock the team out, but was looking for a way. Commander’s defense has played better lately, and I think it’s going to be here. The commanders were a little uneasy about this.

Pick: Commander 27, Viking 26

Sunday, 4:05 p.m. ET (Fox, FuboTV)

Featured Games | Arizona Cardinals v Seattle Seahawks

The Seahawks are No. 1 in the NFC West, and they got there with a good offense as their defense improved. Arizona has an offense, but also struggles on defense. It’s going to be a high-scoring game, but I think Seattle’s offense will get the best of it.

Pick: Seahawks 30, Cardinals 28

Sunday, 4:25pm ET (CBS, Paramount+)

Featured Games | Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers Los Angeles Rams

When the schedule comes out, it looks like this week’s game. Now is the survival test. Both teams are struggling. So who can turn things around? I go with Bux. They’re at home, and their offense isn’t struggling as much as the Rams. Tom Brady won.

Pick: Pirates 24, Rams 17

Sunday, 8:20pm ET (NBC, FuboTV)

Featured Games | Kansas City Chiefs vs. Tennessee Titans

It’s this week’s game, Derrick Henry vs. Patrick Mahomes. This is the runner pair. passerby. Give me passers-by. For the Titans’ second straight road game, the Chiefs had a bye, and coach Andy Reid had a great bye. That’s a big advantage for Kansas City, but Henry will keep his team.

Pick: Chiefs 31, Titans 21

Monday at 8:15 p.m. ET (ESPN, FuboTV)

Featured Games | New Orleans Saints v Baltimore Ravens

The Ravens will rest after their game in Tampa Bay last Thursday. They ran the ball over 200 yards in that game. That doesn’t happen in the Saints’ defense. After keeping the Raiders out last week, look for New Orleans’ defense to continue to play well.

Pick: Saints 26, Ravens 20
