The Covington Business Council (CBC) has established a fund with Horizon Community Funds to benefit its charitable organization, the CBC Foundation. The CBC Foundation is a catalyst for economic development in Covington and provides funding for programs that promote a healthy business environment.
CBC is a local business network 501(C)(3) nonprofit organization that believes in giving back and helping member companies connect with each other. Their goal is to expand the members’ business network and give back to the Covington business community.
The announcement of the fund comes on the occasion of the organization’s 50th anniversary. CBC concluded a landmark year with a 50th Anniversary Dinner on December 1st.
“Covington Business Council is proud to partner with the Northern Kentucky Horizon Community Fund to create the Covington Business Council Foundation,” said CBC Executive Director Pat Frew. “This partnership is an important part of helping the CBC Foundation become more purposeful. It allows the CBC to reinvest the funds generated by its membership through philanthropy into the city’s business interests. The mission of a healthy business environment fits very well.”

Fund partnerships with Horizon Community Funds offer donors a flexible way to support their preferred nonprofit or charitable endeavor. Donors can make a gift to support the nonprofit’s mission for future generations, or they can choose to make a non-endowment gift to fund needs that arise in Northern Kentucky. Horizon Community Funds provides donors and fundholders with deep connections to Northern Kentucky, including its nonprofits and needs.
