Clothing line holds opening event
SITA Couture, the eco-friendly fashion collection by local designer Sita Thompson, marks the relocation of its headquarters from Los Angeles to Encinitas with a ribbon-cutting ceremony with the Encinitas Chamber of Commerce at 649 S. Vulcan Ave. Thursday from 2-4 p.m. Multicultural Community Event It will be held on Saturday from 1pm to 8pm. The event will include a pop-up day spa, a sunset fashion show and live music. Grand Boulevard Festival Heads To Downtown
The Escondido Downtown Business Association sponsors the free annual Grand Boulevard Festival on Sundays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. featuring hundreds of vendors, Resource stalls and international cuisine. The Agtech Startup Hackathon is Coming
The City of Escondido and the Fresh Brewed Tech team will host an agtech startup hackathon, bringing together farmers, technologists, community leaders, engineers, and more to better understand agricultural and food system problems and develop solutions. The hackathon is open to farmers, employers, technologists, entrepreneurs, developers and more, starting October 1st. 21-23 in the Collaborative Work Center, 140 N. Escondido Blvd. Come up with an idea and learn how to take it to business; check out the new potential Escondido AgTech incubator; meet and collaborate with some of the region’s agtech entrepreneurs, investors and industry leaders. Chamber of Commerce hosting golf tournament on Friday
The Fallbrook Chamber of Commerce hosted its annual charity golf tournament Friday at the Pala Mesa Resort. Part of the earnings and putting contest will benefit Fallbrook Food Pantry. SCORE San Diego Volunteers are experienced entrepreneurs, managers and executives from a variety of industries and professions who assist in small business training workshops.
