We’re excited to announce that Mike Dang has joined Business for six months as Personal Finance Editor to help expand and reimagine the way we approach the topic. Mike will work with reporters and editors and our audience-focused team across the department to find new storytelling formats and tools to tell the stories of how people make, spend and save money.
Mike first caught our attention while running The Billfold, a website he co-founded dedicated to having candid conversations about money, making the topic less taboo. He most recently served as senior editor at The Counter, a nonprofit newsroom investigating the forces shaping the American food system. He is also editor-in-chief of Longreads, which has been nominated for several National Magazine Awards and won an Edward R. Murrow Award for podcasting during his tenure.
