Lindsey Graham must testify in Georgia 2020 election inquiry, court rules

senator. Lindsey O. Graham (RS.C.) must appear before a Georgia grand jury investigating possible attempts by former President Donald Trump and his allies to disrupt the state’s 2020 presidential election, a federal appeals court said Thursday.

Graham’s attorneys had asked the court to block a subpoena by Fulton County District Attorney Fanny Willis (D), claiming the sitting senator is immune to such an investigation. But a three-judge panel on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit rejected Graham’s request and upheld the lower court’s ruling, narrowing the questions prosecutors could ask.
