lisa roachCEO of Halton-based precast concrete manufacturer Gainey’s, received the 2022 Robert E. Yoakum Award at the National Precast Concrete Association’s 57th annual meeting.

This is the highest honor bestowed by the association

Roach served on the NPCA Board of Directors from 2006 to 2009 and has chaired various committees.

Gainey’s was founded in 1981 by Roache’s father, Richard Gainey. After his death, she took over the company in 1994.

Bliss Kelly Bernard, Vice President, Environment/Business Development, GEC Inc. In Baton Rouge, named one of five Young Professionals of the Year 2022 by the American Council of Engineering Companies.

The award recognizes the achievements of engineers who have contributed to industry and made an impact on society early in their careers.

Bernard was recognized for his work on the Queen Bass Island Restoration Project, a model for future bird habitat restoration projects in Louisiana. She is a member of the Addis Town Council.
