Jeff Bezos interested in bidding for Commander, possibly with Jay-Z


Amazon founder Jeff Bezos is interested in bidding for the Washington Commander, according to people familiar with the matter.

Bezos’ bid for the team could include music mogul Jay-Z as an investor, according to the person, who asked not to be named on Thursday because a potential sale of the franchise is in the early stages.

“I don’t know if they’ll work together,” the person said, adding that everyone was “interested.”

Bezos is the owner of The Washington Post. He was mentioned as a potential owner of other NFL teams, including the Seattle Seahawks.

Amazon currently carries the NFL’s “Thursday Night Football” package.
