Herschel Walker’s son calls candidate a liar and hypocrite who refuses abortion | DayNews 2022 US midterm elections

The son of Georgia Republican U.S. Senate nominee Herschel Walker has called his father a liar and a hypocrite after media reports said the openly anti-abortion-rights candidate paid for an abortion in 2009 for his ex-girlfriend.

The Daily Beast reported Monday that Walker, the former professional football player, paid to terminate his ex-girlfriend’s pregnancy while the couple were dating, depositing a $700 check into her bank account for surgery. Walker has vehemently denied the allegations and threatened to sue the news outlet for defamation.

Walker’s son Christian Walker shrugs off his father’s denial.

“I don’t care about people who have a bad past and take responsibility,” Christian Walker said in a statement tweet“But how dare you lie and act like you’re a ‘moral, Christian, upright person’.”

I don’t care about people who have a bad past and take responsibility. But how dare you lie and act like you are a “moral, Christian, upright person.” You live a life that destroys the lives of others. how dare you.

Christian Walker also said the family asked his father not to run for office because everyone knew at least some of his past.

Christian Walker added in a series of tweets: “He decided to give us a middle finger and blow dry all his dirty laundry in public while lying.”

Christian Walker also claimed that the Republican candidate left his family to have sex with other women and “threatened to kill” his family, which caused them to move more than six times in six months.

Herschel Walker acknowledged his son’s comments in a tweet, saying: “I love my son no matter what.”

Supporters of Herschel Walker, who then tried to make his son a hypocrite, flooded social media with videos of the young Walker hugging his father warmly and gleefully talking about him.

Christian Walker responded to one such video of right-wing political activist Jack Posobiec saying: “Yeah…well, that’s when we were told he was going to ‘face him’ past and tell the truth’. You know, before he started lying.”

In another series of tweets, conservative radio commentator Eric Erickson Suggest He has reason to think that Republican politicians in Georgia were particularly concerned about Christian Walker’s online rant, saying it was “an acknowledgment of interest” for the candidate and that “everything went downhill from there.”

But U.S. Senate Republican Chairman Rick Scott issued a statement saying his group still supports Walker, dismissing the Daily Beast’s report as a “smear” by Democrats.

“Republicans stand with him, and Georgians stand with him,” U.S. Sen. Scott of Florida said of Walker.

Walker’s ex-girlfriend, who has not been named, said in the Daily Beast article that Walker encouraged her to have an abortion. She backed her claim with a surgery receipt showing $575 and a recovery card signed by Walker.

“This is an outright lie and I deny it in the strongest terms,” Walker wrote in response. Walker supports a national ban on abortion, including cases involving rape, incest or threats to a woman’s health.

His position was especially important after the US Supreme Court in June struck down the federal abortion right established in Roe v. Wade in 1973.

The latest allegations are part of a series of allegations against Walker as the midterm elections loom next month. Earlier this year, a separate report from The Daily Beast revealed that Walker has three children, whom he has not spoken about publicly before.

Walker later revealed he had four children.

Walker is running against Rafael Warnock, pastor of Ebenezer Baptist Church in Atlanta. Polls show Walker is closing the gap with Democrat Warnock, who is seeking re-election.

Democrats currently control the U.S. Senate and are trying to maintain that position in the midterms. The chamber is divided 50-50 between the two parties, but Vice President Kamala Harris can sever ties, and she’s a Democrat.
