Farside Ventures, a Spanish venture capital firm focused on creating deep tech startups, announced today that they have joined Tech Barcelona as a corporate partner. The partnership will enable Farside Ventures to create technology transfer-based projects and strengthen its ties with other agents in the Catalan capital’s startup and innovation ecosystem.
Farside Ventures has 18 startups in its portfolio and has raised €20.5 million to date. Their verticals include 101 Ventures, which invests in digital deep technologies to disrupt traditional businesses; 5G Ventures, which focuses on the 5G ecosystem and aims to make the fourth digital revolution a reality; The Data Venture, Spain’s first web3 and A venture capital firm developing blockchain technology; Fintech Ventures, which aims to create fintech solutions for traditional business models; and Sustainability Ventures, which specializes in climate technologies and environmental impacts.
The venture capital firm was founded in Barcelona in 2020 by entrepreneur Rafael García-Escarré, Marc Borrell, Jordi Priu, Oriol Relats and Guillermo Briones are eager to support 100 startups worth between €75 million and €100 million over the next four years.
