Family business event scheduled for Thursday at ABQ

Family businesses and wealth transfer will be the focus of Thursday’s event at the Parker Center for Family Business, affiliated with the University of New Mexico, in Albuquerque.

According to a press release, the free meeting, featuring Center Board members and longtime advisors Kathy Wiseman and Edward Monte, will be held at 5051 Journal Center NE, Colliers International Building, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Wiseman is a consultant to marketing, public relations and internal communications firms. Mount runs a family business consulting firm that focuses on parent-child relationship issues that impact family business efforts.

The event, part of the centre’s lunch and learn session, will focus on “the uniqueness of family members working together in a business and the passing of their wealth from generation to generation”.

Lunch will be included; no fee, but reservations can be made by emailing lindaparker@theparkercenter.org.
