Downtown Las Vegas businesses prepare to return to Life is Beautiful

LAS VEGAS, Nevada (FOX5) — Life is Beautiful kicked off Friday in downtown Las Vegas, and businesses are sharing how they’re preparing for large crowds.

Steven Rogers, assistant manager at Flippin Good, said: “We’ve doubled our staff and we’ve doubled the items we normally prepare, making sure food is ready so we can reach our customers.”

“We’re adding people and reserves,” said Evel Pie general manager Samantha Bandy.

Commercial downtowns like Flippin Good and Evel Pie are ready to serve all who come to the area because Life is Beautiful.

“We’re going to have a great pop-up bar outside so you’re ready to slice, get ready,” Bandy said.

“We have our happy hour special, which is from 3 to 6 as usual, we’re going to extend it to 7, and we have our little corona or $5,” Rogers said.

Both companies say Life is Beautiful helps bring in additional cash.

“We really need it, and it’s going to help businesses after everything that’s happened in the world,” Rogers said. “Business has slowed down a bit, but that should help and take hold across the city.”

“Unlike other festivals, where a lot of businesses and people can really experience our city, people are going to the outskirts of town somewhere, where you can really see the heart of Las Vegas,” Bandy said.

Downtown businesses are expected to remain open throughout the weekend to accommodate people attending events.
