Nate Gibson took over full ownership of Access Audio and Accessories in 2009.

Even after 20 years in business, Access Audio and Accessories still likes to ask, “Who are you rolling with?”

The popular slogan has stuck with Nate Gibson and Tony Blomberg ever since they first opened their oversized doors at 500 First Ave. S. at Fort Dodge.

For both, the decision was “Like everyone else” According to Gibson.

“I’ve always wanted my own shop and was not happy with the direction and future of my employer at the time,” He says. “When I had the opportunity to work with a very successful local business and start my dream, while gaining 65 years of business history, I disapproved.

“So, a division of Daniel Tire – Access Audio and Accessories – was born in 2002.”

Nate Gibson, owner of Access Audio and Accessories, calls Tony Blomberg his “right-hand man and shop guide”.

Seven years later, Fort Dodge High School graduate Gibson has taken over full ownership of the business providing mobile audio, video, remote start and security, radar detectors and vehicle monitoring, while adding “Almost any 12-volt electronic device.”

They are also constantly looking for the next “it” things on the spot.

“We continue to look forward to upcoming trends in vehicle integration as new vehicles advance and smartphone security and connectivity grows,” Gibson said. “Adding modern features to older cars is also a daily service.

“Cars, boats, trucks, bikes, UTVs or whatever gets you going, we’ve got something for you. That’s why we ask, ‘Who are you rolling with?'”

Twenty years later, they still enjoy doing what they do every day.

“Every new business starts with hope and vision” Gibson said. “After 20 years of serving the region, Tony and I can still come to Access and do what we love.”

They are also the main provider of local police and public service vehicles, while always remembering “No matter what product we use, we deliver the same high level of customer satisfaction and results.”

Gibson said Blomberg, also a FDSH graduate, was his “Right-hand man and shop wizard.”

“He’s been with me since day one,” He added. “His dedication to the same vision of doing business with honesty and integrity has led to our success and longevity.

“Tony has become a highly regarded and nationally recognized 12 volt technician. Our knowledge/expertise in remote vehicle start and control has given us insight not only at the installation level but also at manufacturing and beta testing by several major companies power and partnership.

“We will continue to be the leader in audio for any transportation or entertainment use.”
