In the ranking of 100 global airlines, Delta Air Lines tops the list of U.S. airlines – 24th.

Airline ranking organization Skytrax this week announced the winners of its 2022 World Airline Awards, dubbed the “Oscars of the airline industry”.

Skytrax ranked 100 airlines based on feedback from a passenger survey covering cabin and airport services as well as onboard products. Boarding assistance, hospitality, check-in and luggage delivery are also included.

Qatar Airways topped the list of 350 airlines surveyed, followed by Singapore Airlines and Emirates. It was Qatar’s third consecutive win and the seventh since the award was presented in 1999.

Southwest Airlines trailed Delta by more than 10 at 35th, followed by JetBlue at 41st. Alaska Airlines, United Airlines and American Airlines ranked 59th, 60th and 68th, respectively.

Delta won two other awards this week from FlyerTalk, which conducts an online survey, including a public vote, for “Best Promotion” and “Best Loyal Customer Service” for its SkyMiles program.

“It is an honor to represent Delta and more than 80,000 colleagues at these events in London,” said Claire Black, Delta’s general manager of sales domestic markets, in a statement.

“It’s a humility to know that our customers voted for them, and it shows that our product investment is well-received. The Employee Awards are also a testament to how our employees around the world make a difference every day at Delta and deliver great service to our customers.”
