Saleen, Michigan –(Business Wire)– DAVCO Technology, the North American leader in oil-water separators and a Clarience Technologies company, today announced the Shop Pro FXP 95 – the latest version of its renowned Shop Pro product, which has been redesigned with the modern fleet in mind.

New filtration technology and ergonomics are the hallmarks of the New Shop Pro range
Shop Pro FXP products use the same three-layer filtration technology as DAVCO’s latest Fuel Pro models to provide better filtration and removal of contaminated fuel, sediment and water when transferring fuel or cleaning tanks. The three-layer technology strips water from the outside of the media through two internal stripping operations, including a coalescing layer and a hydrophobic layer. This ensures that water does not pass through the filter, even for ultra-low sulphur and biodiesel that are difficult to separate.
In addition to product performance improvements, the Shop Pro FXP is 44 pounds lighter and 15 percent more compact than its predecessor. It is in these features that DAVCO’s creative approach to uptime shines.
“When fleets think about uptime, they usually think of preventive maintenance through telematics and other monitoring devices,” Schaffer said. “While this is a critical component of uptime, streamlining operations associated with the manual maintenance required is critical to getting diesel trucks back on the road faster.”
Seeing is believing: what’s true then, now and later
DAVCO sought to simplify fleet operations long before its latest product innovation. Introduced in 1993, DAVCO’s Fuel Pro and Diesel Pro products introduced a never-before-seen clear top filter for immediate visual inspection of fuel condition and usable filter life. Today, clients demand clear top names, and it is this transparency that has earned DAVCO the trust of top fleets.
More recently, DAVCO has been leveraging these customer relationships to not only continue to innovate for diesel customers, but also to support the transition of trucking to an electric and autonomous future.
In January 2022, DAVCO announced a $3.5 million investment in its Saline, Michigan campus to create an advanced electronics manufacturing center that will expand its manufacturing capabilities into advanced electronics technologies that will become more common in electric commercial vehicles universal. However, DAVCO’s main focus in the near term will be innovations in diesel-powered vehicles, such as the new Shop Pro FXP range – as most fleets will continue to operate diesel trucks at some capacity for at least the next decade.
