Avenue Securities, a U.S. digital brokerage serving Brazilian retail investors, has leveraged trading technology provider Sterling Trading Tech (STT) to provide Brazilian investors with sophisticated trading tools and capabilities to trade U.S. markets.
Founded in 2018, the Miami-based broker has been focusing on investing abroad in Brazil and has grown to become the largest Brazilian broker-dealer in the US: more than 600,000 Brazilian investors trade through Avenue in the US.
The partnership with STT includes access to two of three product lines: Trading Platform (accessible via web and mobile), Order Management System (OMS), and Post-Trade Risk and Margin System.
Additionally, Avenue will be able to fully integrate U.S. equities into its back-end infrastructure for order routing and risk capabilities. The company announced the upcoming launch of options trading.

Sterling adds FX and Crypto to its multi-asset risk coverage
Sterling recently added FX and Crypto to its risk and margin system to provide clients with a higher level of multi-asset risk coverage. Risk and Margin System (SRM) now offers advanced analytics as a RaaS (Risk as a Service) solution covering Forex, Crypto, Equities, Equity Options and Equity Futures markets for risk calculations.
SRM uses quantitative and big data technologies to manage risk and monitor margins in real time, calculating risk scenarios, stress tests, portfolio margins, risk-based deductions, maintenance margins and value at risk (VaR) for each account, the fintech firm Explained, being able to add and handle company-specific internal rules.
