6 injured at Brighton Heights funeral

Pittsburgh police said six people were shot and killed Friday outside a funeral near the city’s Brighton Heights neighborhood. All six victims are reported to be in stable condition, police said. At this time, police say they do not have any information on potential suspects. Pittsburgh Mayor Ed Gainey has enthusiastically called for peace in the city. “We need to make sure that doesn’t happen again,” Gainey said. The mayor has repeatedly called for an end to the violence, imploring people not to retaliate. Gainey was asked at one point if he thought the shooting at the funeral was over for revenge. The mayor said he did not have all the information, but Pittsburgh police reconfirmed what appeared to be a targeted shooting. Pastor Dr Brenda Gregg, who believes in the destiny of the church, called the shooting one of the most devastating days Greg said the church will remain open.

Priest. PhD. Brenda Gregg of Destiny of Faith Church called the shooting one of the most devastating days of her life. Greg said the church will remain open.
