The third round of selected groups
With so many players in Mexico making low shots — Harry Higgs had a 62 and Russell Henry and Colin Morikawa had 63s on Friday — it seemed like no lead was safe.
But Russell Henry — who, by the way, had his second straight 62 as mentioned above — was still in good shape heading into the weekend.
The 33-year-old has a three-shot lead at 16 under overall with two rounds to play. He will tee off with his closest competitor, Sam Ryder, who is 13-under 64-65 in his final game Saturday at 2 p.m. ET. (Will Gordon, also at 13-under, will play the second-to-last pair against 12-under Button Kezier.)
For Henry, this week’s victory will mark the fourth time in his career and the first in more than five years. For Ryder, this week’s victory will mark his first.
There’s a lot on the line — and a lot of worthy chasers. You can watch round three on Golf Channel starting at 3 p.m. ET, and you can find the full third round tee times for the 2022 Global Technology Championship in Mayakoba below.
